Prepaid credit cards are some of the most popular card offers. Prepaid cards have become more popular with consumers, and the prepaid card market has produced a variety of new products and services. How does it work?
With prepaid credit cards and debit cards you must deposit funds into the account before using the card. All you have to do is fill out a short application, pay a small set-up fee, and load the card with cash (this amount will be your “credit limit”). This means that like a pay as you go phone, you need to put money on to the account before you can use it. The prepaid credit card is also unique in that there are no fees charged for transfers of funds to the card.
Its not just the people with bad credit rating who go for secured credit cards. Some people go for secured credit cards because they dont want to bother themselves with the bills etc for credit cards. They dont like to even fill-up application forms for unsecured credit cards.
Then there are some who just dont like to borrow money (even if it means borrowing from a credit card supplier by using their credit card). However, such people are very rare to find.
