As many people know, affiliate marketing can be a very lucrative way to make money from home. I should know, as I am an affiliate marketer and have been for many years. With that being said, I did not create a full time income with this type of marketing without trial and error and this includes finding an affiliate marketplace that was a right fit for me.
One of the major affiliate sites on the internet is ClickBank. Their huge marketplace and massive amounts of affiliate products across every possible niche market make it attractive for many internet marketers. However, despite its massive size, there are a few inherent problems with ClickBank.
I came across another affiliate marketplace called PayGear which is similar to ClickBank and I signed up. I did find a few negative things about PayGear, however overall I was pleased with them. Here are a few things I found:
PayGear Merchant Facilities
1. Youre able to open your PayGear merchant account at no charge. ClickBank charges a set up fee to begin selling products.
2. The products you enter into your merchant account are approved immediately, while youre expected to wait for approval with other sites.
3. PayGear allows physical goods as well as digital goods, yet ClickBank is limited to only allowing sale of digital goods.
4. Your payments can be made in real time. ClickBank makes you wait until payment for your products is processed, approved and then sent.
5. PayGears fees and charges for transactions is lower in comparison to ClickBanks fees.
The Affiliate Side of PayGear
1. Its possible to find products offering commissions of up to 95%. ClickBank has set a limitation of only 75% as their maximum commission payout.
2. Youre able to track sales in real time with PayGear.
3. An affiliate will receive built-in Marketing Tools instantly when promoting any product from marketplace.
4. PayGear holds your affiliate payment for up to a month and only pays monthly via PayPal or by check. ClickBank has a bi-weekly payment system that is the same for affiliates or merchants and they pay either by check or by direct deposit into your bank account if your bank is in an allowable country.
5. Youre able to buy products you want using your own affiliate link. Many other sites wont allow you to be an affiliate on your own affiliate account.
In my opinion, the positives of PayGear far outweighed the negatives, however to give an honest review I will let you know what I didn’t like about this affiliate site.
When you consider the two options side by side, the ability to draw a more regular cash flow into your affiliate marketing business with ClickBank by being paid bi-weekly seems appealing, however the advantages to having greatly reduced fees make PayGear equally appealing.
So if youre looking for an alternative to ClickBank to source new affiliate products to promote, then consider PayGear.
